Sunburst Studios was established in May 2007 in the heart of Riverview. Chris Colepaugh has a passion for music that runs through his veins and Sunburst Studios was a proud addition to our music legacy.

With southern-inspired soul and a heaping dose of the blues, Canadian Chris Colepaugh delivers a powerhouse of driving rhythms, crunchy guitar licks, & badass vocals. As the multiple award-winning front man of the group Chris Colepaugh and the Cosmic Crew & Gold City Ashes, he has performed at prestigious festivals such as SXSW, CMW, NXNE, NEMO, Evolve, Canadian Music Cafe & has spent more than two decades actively touring Canada & the US. These have included dates with Government Mule, North Mississippi Allstars & Big Sugar as well as CCCC performances at the House of Blues, the Hard Rock Café, tours of New England & southern US, the US West Coast, Southern California & multiple cross Canada tours.

In addition to his band and solo work, since 2010 Chris has lent his multi-instrument talents to platinum artists Roch Voisine, Big Sugar, fiddle champion Samantha Robichaud & NB blues icon Matt Andersen. And all this while releasing music, putting on live stream interactive concerts & planning for his upcoming releases.

In 2022, Chris was awarded the Artistic Excellence Award in the Albert County Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards. In 2016, Chris received the Music New Brunswick Music Producer of the Year award.

He is a multi-time ECMA nominee and in 2011, Chris took home 2 ECMAs – Fan Choice of the Year & 2011 Music NB Songwriter of the Year. Chris was announced as a finalist for the 2008 International Acoustic Music Awards & won both the 2007 Contact East Touring Excellence Award & 4 2007 Toronto Music Magazine Awards.
